Jesus Christ The Son

The disciples tell us that "the Word was made flesh among us, we saw Jesus, beheld His flesh and His glory, the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth. Grace (5485) in Greek: Charis, from chairo (5463) to rejoice, or chara (5479), joy, favor, acceptance, a kindness granted or desired, a benefit, thanks, gratitude, grace. A favor done without expectation of return; absolute freeness of the loving-kindness of God to men, finding its
only  motive  in  the bounty and freeheartedness  of  the  Giver; unearned and unmerited favor. Charis stands in direct  antithesisto erga (2041), works. They are mutually exclusive. God offers the gift, but man must take the  initiative to receive it.

"No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him]." (John 1:18) The bosom can be likened to God's lap. "Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father." (John 6:46) "No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby  know we  that  we dwell in him, and he in us, because  He  hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that  the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth  in him, and he in God. And we have known  and  believed the  love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that  dwelleth in  love dwelleth in God, and God in him." (1 John 4:12-16)

"All  things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man  knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and [he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal  [him]." (Matthew  11:27) "Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love;  but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath  torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love  Him, because  He first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and  hateth his  brother,  he is a liar: for he that loveth not  his  brother
whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth  God  love his brother also." (1 John 4:17-21)
