The Foundation Of The Church

The  twelve Apostles are considered to be the foundation  of the  Church,  the Body of Christ. "And the wall of the  city  had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve  Apostles of the Lamb." (Revelation 21:14) The twelve precious stone layers
in  the  foundation  also represent the Apostles and  so  do  the twelve trees yielding their fruit every month for the healing  of the  nations.

We are polluted water and are rather  in  need  of healing.  Somehow the Word of God isn't enough, we want to  paint our  own  pictures. But God breathed: "And He showed  me  a  pure river  of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of  the
throne  of God and of the Lamb.

"In the midst of the  street  of it,  and  on either side of the river, [was there]  the  tree of life,  which  bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and]  yielded  her fruit  every  month: and the leaves of the tree  [were]  for  the healing of the nations.(Revelation 22:1,2)

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the fulfillment of  Jesus' promise to send the Holy Spirit. The purpose of the coming of the Holy Spirit was to glorify Jesus Christ.
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for  you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.

"And when  He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of  righteousness, and of  judgment:  Of sin, because they believe not  on  me;  Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no  more; Of  judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I  have yet  many  things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear  them now.

"Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide  you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, [that] shall He speak: and He will show you things to  come. He shall glorify me: for He shall receive of mine,  and
shall show [it] unto you." (John 16:7-14)
