" For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come." (1 Corinthians 11:26) "Now the first [day] of the [feast of] unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? (Matthew 26:17) And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover. Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve." (Matthew 26:19,20)
"And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed [it], and brake [it], and gave [it] to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave [it] to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom." (Matthew 26:26-29)
The Bible is always confirmed by other scripture and next is Paul speaking to the Corinthians later of his experience: "For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the [same] night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me." (1 Corinthians 11:23-25)
Parallel to Old Testament: "And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled [it] on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words." (Exodus 24:8) "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah": (Jeremiah 31:31) "As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein [is] no water." (Zechariah 9:11)
